PART TWO: One Social Media Tip For Every JFL New Face.
Simple fixes for each of the 2025 Character and Creator New Faces.
Hello again from Edinburgh, and a special welcome to the 13 new subscribers since yesterday’s email, where I gave one social media tip to each of the 30 JFL New Face Stand-Ups.
Today, we’ll continue this exercise with the eight selected New Faces: Characters and four New Faces: Creators.
Many agents, managers, comedians, and producers have been looking up your websites and social media profiles over the past week, so these small changes could be the difference between someone successfully buying tickets to your next show, or losing interest entirely.
NEW FACES: CHARACTERS
Andres Parada
One of your two links in your Instagram bio, Papayaso Tickets!’, is to buy tickets to a show that happened over 6 weeks ago.
Austin Williams
I think your profile picture could more clearly communicate that you’re a comedian. Perhaps a headshot, or a photo of you on stage:
Ava Bunn
You currently have three different profile pictures across your Instagram profile, Youtube channel, and TikTok account. I would standardize these.
Jess Elgene
One of the two links in your LinkTree (the bottom one) is an expired link with a 404 error:
Here’s what it looks like if you click on it:

Lesley Osuala
The @ComedyCentral in your Instagram bio isn’t clickable, try updating this from your mobile app and it should show up as blue again.
Mimi Von Schack
You have several Instagram Story Highlights that haven’t been updated in a long time. I would consider removing most of these, as they aren’t super relevant:
Miranda Rozas
You have three expired ticket links in your LinkTree, including February shows in LA, and a link called ‘Second City Tickets’ that no longer loads:
Tom Hearn
I think it’s a bad look to link your personal Venmo in your LinkTree at the same time as a bunch of tour dates:
NEW FACES: CREATORS
Evan Mulrooney
I’d link to all your other socials on your website, not just your Instagram:
Kel Cripe
I think having both horizontal links and social icons to your Instagram, TikTok account, YouTube channel, and Cameo in your LinkTree is duplicative:
Jazz Emu
Mention the details of your Edinburgh Fringe show in your bio and add a direct link to purchase tickets. Your current bio doesn’t let us know where you are or that you’re about to perform a ton in the coming few months.
Yasmine Sahid
What’s the point of having a LinkTree with 10 links and then another 3 links outside of it as separate links in your Instagram bio? I would consolidate these.
That’s all for today, I hope this was helpful and actionable. My purpose in doing these is not to single anyone out, but to demonstrate there are ways for every single person to improve their social media presence – Creator, Character, or Stand-Up.
If you’re at the Fringe, let’s grab a coffee. And if you want personalized feedback like this for your own profiles, you know where to find me.
